Imperial Canadian Mountie Renfrew is appointed to bust a forging ring working on the Canadian-USA fringe, with the support of his pooch "Lightning". Renfrew pursues the convicts on horseback and plane without much of any result. Ring pioneer George Poulis has constrained etcher James Bronson, a previous convict, into working with his group through dangers. Bronson's little girl Virginia persuades him to escape yet they are gotten by George's hooligans. The pair are tossed into the lodge's refrigerated meat locker, making it a race against time for Renfrew to protect the pair and catch the awful gentlemen in the meantime.
